In this three week course you will learn how to adapt a domestic sewing machine so that you can do free motion embroidery. You will learn how to balance stitch speed with hand control in order to stitch smoothly in all directions. You will create a sample book full of your experiments with FME, including appliqué, lettering, drawing, using soluble and bonded fabrics, and creating texture with top and bottom threads. You will gain confidence in using your sewing machine for Free Motion Embroidery and in developing textile art ideas.
